I took the prepaid fuel option. I returned the vehicle with a half full tank.     The amount to fill half the tank would have been way less than the fuel option. The prepaid fuel option is for a FULL TANK of gasoline regardless of how much is in the tank on return. They calculate this by the fuel tank capacity. If you find you are almost finished with your rental, and you still have quite a bit of fuel left, it is best to refill the tank completely, keep your receipt, and show it to the returning agent. They will then credit the fuel package option. This is the law in Hawaii
